THE UK COMPENSATES FOR ASTRAZENECA SIDE EFFECTS - RING NEWS

The amount of £120,000, i.e., €140,000 will be paid as compensation to the fiancée of the British musician known as Lord Zion, who died of side effects related to the AstraZeneca vaccine. Last year on May 13th, 8 days after the first dose of the vaccine, the singer felt an excruciating headache. He was admitted to a hospital in Newcastle where he died 6 days later from a brain haemorrhage. Lord Zion’s death certificate was recorded as ‘irreversible brain damage caused by haemorrhaging that arose due to complications of the AstraZeneca vaccine for the coronavirus. A year after the death of the 48 year-old, and after a long legal battle , his fiancée, Vikki Spit received a compensation of £120,000. Since January 2021, it was known that there were concerns about the safety of the AstraZeneca vaccine. In particular, about the development of thrombosis to 1 in 100,000 patients that were vaccinated. In fact, statistically, the creation of blood clots after a dose of the vaccine showed higher rates in younger ages. Speaking to GB News, Vikki Spit said that her aim was not the money, since no one can bring back her beloved, but her aim is to create awareness of the complications that can occur from the vaccine: "It is the first step in a long battle. It is not the money because nothing can bring back the people we have lost. It is a matter of acknowledgement”, she said and added that there is so much bureaucracy involved that this is delaying the process for the family members of the victims receiving compensation. "I think it is disgusting the fact that the widows and wounded had to fight for a year to get this support. We are not done yet!” According to a Daily Mail report, over 400,000 people have reported side effects of the vaccine through the Yellow Card Scheme, while more than 1,300 people have submitted claims for compensation. No pay out has been issued so far.
